The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and administering our company's computer networks, ensuring high performance and availability to all system users.
You will play a crucial role in our IT department, with a focus on setting up, developing, maintaining, and supporting our computer communication networks.
Your primary duty will be to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
Responsibilities1.
Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
2.
Design and implement new solutions and improve the resilience of the current environment.
3.
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
4.
Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources.
5.
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
6.
Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
7.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
8.
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects.
9.
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
10.
Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services, and firewalls.
11.
Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation.
12.
Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation.
Qualifications1.
A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification.

years of proven experience in a network engineer role.

Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.
4.
Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
5.
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
6.
Ability to set up and configure server hardware.
7.
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
8.
Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
9.
Juniper, Cisco, CWNA, or BCNE training.
10.
CCNA certification or its equivalent is highly desirable.
11.
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.
g.
, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.
11, QoS).
12.
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
13.
Experience in the healthcare / medical industry is a plus.
