The incumbent will function as the regional coordinator/manager of the MARO Communicable Disease Control Program and will be responsible for the oversight and development, implementation and management of the full spectrum of Communicable Disease Control Programs within the nine counties of MARO. Currently these programs are Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Control (HEIC), Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI), Regional Epidemiology, Immunization, Tuberculosis Control, HIV/STD Field Services, and Bureau of HIV/AIDS Epidemiology (BHAE). The position will be located in New Rochelle with travel to the other MARO offices required. Through leadership, direction, and supervision, the incumbent will provide oversight, supervision and guidance to staff, both Health Department and contract, and will establish priorities, implement program policies and procedures, evaluate activities and staff performance, identify problem areas and implement strategies to resolve, and ensure the efficient scheduling of staff to achieve program goals and mandates.
Job Function

Salary Range:
From $99415 to $125629 Annually
Minimum Qualification
TRANSFER:
Current NYS employee with one year or more of contingent-permanent or permanent competitive service in a title at or above G27/M2 and deemed eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.4 of the NYS Civil Service Law. PROVISIONAL :
a bachelor's degree AND six years professional public health experience in a governmental public health agency or public health program that receives funding from a public health governmental agency. Of the six years required experience, two years must include supervision of professional staff and the following management
Responsibilities:
program planning and implementation, AND program evaluation and monitoring, AND development and implementation of policies and procedures. The required professional experience must include either:
1. Designing or implementing a public health outreach, promotion, or disease prevention program; OR 2. Conducting disease surveillance or a disease control program. For the purposes of this recruitment, a public health program focuses primarily on the prevention of disease through outreach and public health education or health promotion, including population-based plans of care, not just plans of care for individual patients, or the study of the prevalence or causes of disease through population-based studies. Examples of non-qualifying experience include, but are not limited to:
experience providing clinical care in therapeutic health care facilities including public hospitals, physician's offices, supervised community-based settings or home care settings; discharge planning or utilization review; developing treatment plans for patients in community settings; regulatory oversight of health care providers to determine compliance with laws, rules or regulations; reviewing appropriateness of services for insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, governmental agencies or other third-party payors; or other experience limited to fiscal administration, personnel, staff development, operations management or contract/grant management. Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Public Health as well as; strong administrative skill/background; organizational, written and oral communication skills; experience with communicable disease surveillance and outbreak response activities. Strong organization, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills. Excellent decision-making ability. Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Customer focused. Strong supervisory ability. Preferred
Qualifications:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
